Con-cen-tra-tion

What is the central idea of your concentration?

Acrylic paintings of cars, focusing on the older aspects of them rather than the new

How does the work in your concentration demonstrate the exploration of your idea? You may refer to specific images as examples. When referencing specific images, please indicate the image numbers.

Throughout my concentration, my paintings kept getting more zoomed, making the part of the car look somewhat indistinguishable. For each of my pieces, I chose to use only exterior parts of the cars as it shows what the car is actually made of and in my opinion, is the more artistic part of a car. The industrial aspects of cars are what interest me since they've changes so much throughout the years.  Since cars are full of different textures and reflections, I tried to use certain brush strokes to show the many surfaces, like in my newest one of the hood ornament and the biggest one I've done which showed the spokes.
