So my concentration is paintings of close up images of cars. I am probably going to go start using closer images of them cars so it'll look a little more abstract and less like the car itself.
I think you're doing great already on abstracting the cars! I wouldn't be able to guess either of the two you did this month. But maybe try and push values a bit more? Or highlights and textures. On both pieces there are places that are really awesome, like the rust and the circular bit, but then there are a few shapes that just seem like solid blogs of color and it's a bit distracting.
I love how much you push colors, and your reflective surfaces are sooooo gorgeous. I feel like you could have a lot of fun with reflective stuff if you want to get more obscure and less car-y. There are lots of little beautiful places that are really amazing and successful, but small parts of each of them feel a little less developed, like you did so much on the foreground that you didn't resolve the background as much, so I feel like a consistent texture/feel/look throughout would make them even more crazy awesome.
